Frequently Asked Questions

What is GoBorderless?

GoBorderless by Squirrel Media Technologies Limited is a platform that connects Clients (individuals, PR agencies, organizations) with Media Houses (newspapers, online publications, broadcast stations) across Africa to facilitate promoted content campaigns such as sponsored posts, press releases, feature articles and interview features.

How does the GoBorderless platform work?

GoBorderless serves as an intermediary that ensures secure transactions between Clients and Media Houses. It includes features like an escrow account for payments, content approval workflows, and real-time tracking of campaign progress.

Who can use GoBorderless as a Client?

GoBorderless is open to individuals, PR agencies, and organizations looking to distribute paid content through reputable media channels in Africa and the Middle East.

How do I start a campaign on the GoBorderless platform?

To execute a paid campaign through GoBorderless, you do not need to register on the platform, just click on "Promote Your Content", choose your desired Media House, make payment and submit your request for a sponsored post, be it a press release, or other content services. Once the Media House approves your request, the campaign will proceed.

How does payment work?

Payments are made through an escrow system. Funds are released to the Media House only after they provide proof of publication and the Client is satisfied with the publication.

Are there any fees for Clients?

Yes, clients pay a service fee starting from 10% of total fees depending on the volume and duration of your campaign.

What happens if I am unsatisfied with the published content?

Disputes regarding content quality can be reported through the platform. We will facilitate resolution but are not liable for content-related issues.

How can Media Houses join the platform?

Media Houses can register by completing a form, specifying their rates and agreeing to the GoBorderless terms and criteria for accepting content.

What are the obligations of Media Houses?

Media Houses must approve or reject requests within 24 hours, publish content within the agreed timeframe, and provide proof of publication within 48 hours.

Are there penalties for delays or non-compliance?

Yes, delays or failure to comply with platform standards may result in penalties or removal from the network.

How are payments processed?

Payments are released to the media houses within 48 hours through an escrow system once the Client approves the publication.

Is there a fee for Media Houses to join GoBorderless?

No, media houses do not need to pay any fee to join GoBorderless. However, they must meet some criteria including generating at least 100,000 web visits per annum.

How does the escrow system work?

The escrow system ensures secure transactions by holding funds until the Media House provides proof of publication and the Client approves the content.

What happens if there’s a dispute over payments?

Disputes are handled through the platform’s resolution process. Both parties must agree to the terms laid out during the contract.

Who governs disputes on the platform?

All disputes are governed by the laws of Nigeria, and the platform includes mechanisms for mediation or arbitration if required.
